St. Lucia

Dramatic, lush, and impossibly romantic, St. Lucia is where the iconic Piton mountains rise from the sea and rainforest meets shoreline in the most breathtaking way. This Caribbean destination feels like a true escape—perfect for travelers seeking a mix of adventure, luxury, and connection. From volcanic mud baths and waterfall hikes to sunset catamaran sails, every experience feels intentional and unforgettable.

What makes St. Lucia stand out among the best Caribbean islands to travel to is its balance of wild beauty and elevated resorts. With all-inclusive options, private plunge pools, and panoramic ocean views, it’s a top choice for honeymoons, destination weddings, and travelers who want something both indulgent and meaningful.

Jamaica

Lively, soulful, and full of rhythm, Jamaica is one of the most iconic Caribbean travel destinations—and for good reason. Think cascading waterfalls, reggae drifting through the air, and beaches that invite you to slow down and stay awhile. It’s a destination that feels warm, welcoming, and alive from the moment you arrive.

Jamaica is especially known for its all-inclusive resorts, making it one of the easiest Caribbean vacations to plan. Whether you're exploring Dunn’s River Falls, enjoying authentic jerk cuisine, or relaxing beachfront with a cocktail in hand, Jamaica blends culture, ease, and energy in a way that keeps travelers coming back again and again.

Turks & Caicos

If your idea of paradise is powdery white sand and impossibly clear water, Turks & Caicos delivers one of the best beach vacations in the Caribbean. Grace Bay Beach is consistently ranked among the top beaches in the world—and once you see it, you’ll understand why. Calm, pristine, and endlessly beautiful, this destination is all about effortless relaxation.

Known for its luxury resorts and laidback elegance, Turks & Caicos is ideal for couples, honeymoons, and upscale Caribbean getaways. Whether you're snorkeling vibrant reefs, enjoying beachfront dining, or simply soaking up the sun, it’s a destination that feels peaceful, polished, and completely indulgent.

Aruba

With its year-round sunshine, constant trade winds, and stunning beaches, Aruba is one of the most reliable and best places to travel in the Caribbean. Known as “One Happy Island,” it’s perfect for travelers who want great weather, beautiful resorts, and a stress-free vacation experience.

Beyond the beach, Aruba offers colorful towns, desert landscapes, and a vibrant dining scene that adds depth to your stay. Whether you're exploring natural parks, enjoying nightlife, or relaxing at an all-inclusive resort, Aruba strikes the perfect balance between adventure and ease.

barbados

Refined yet full of personality, Barbados blends British influence with Caribbean charm in a way that feels both elevated and inviting. From calm west coast beaches to lively south coast energy, this island offers a dynamic travel experience with something for every kind of traveler.

Barbados is known for its incredible food scene, rich culture, and warm hospitality, making it a standout destination in the Caribbean. Whether you're sipping rum at sunset, exploring historic sites, or enjoying a luxury beachfront stay, it’s a destination that feels flavorful, vibrant, and thoughtfully curated.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL

The Caribbean is a year-round destination, but knowing when to go can elevate your experience from beautiful to truly unforgettable.

1

Peak Season (December - April)

These are the most popular months to visit the Caribbean, and for good reason. Expect warm sunshine, low humidity, and that picture-perfect beach weather everyone dreams about. It’s the ideal time for a Caribbean vacation, especially if you’re looking to escape colder climates. Resorts are lively, the energy is high, and every day feels like a postcard moment.

2

Shoulder Season (May & November)

For travelers seeking the best balance of weather, value, and fewer crowds, the shoulder season is a sweet spot. May offers warm, sunny days before the summer heat fully sets in, while November marks the transition out of hurricane season with improving conditions and refreshed landscapes. It’s one of the best times to travel to the Caribbean for a more relaxed and cost-effective experience.

3

Summer Season (June - October)

Summer in the Caribbean brings warmer temperatures, higher humidity, and the start of hurricane season—but also some of the best travel deals. Rain showers tend to be brief and refreshing, leaving behind lush, vibrant scenery. With the right destination and expert guidance, this season can offer a more laidback, authentic Caribbean experience with fewer crowds.

At DWD, we help you choose the best time to visit the Caribbean based on your priorities—whether that’s perfect beach weather, fewer crowds, or the best value for your travel dates.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll find our most frequently asked questions below, but if you don’t see your questions - contact us!

Who do you serve?

+

I work with ambitious, kind-hearted couples who want more than just a cookie-cutter destination wedding. They want a meaningful, unforgettable experience, and a wedding that is unique, not like the last resort wedding.. I’m here for you if you value thoughtful planning, real communication, and a seamless process from start to finish.

Please note: I exclusively work with U.S.-based clients.

Is the process collaborative?

+

Absolutely, and it should be! This is your wedding, not mine! I bring the experience, guidance, and planning magic, but your vision leads the way. We'll work closely to make sure the end result reflects you, your vibe, your priorities, your story. Think of me as your detail-obsessed, calm-in-the-chaos planning bestie.

Why a planning fee?

+

My planning fee ensures I can provide full wedding planning support in addition to travel — from design boards and budget guidance to managing all the logistics. It allows me to dedicate the time and expertise needed to create a personalized, seamless experience instead of a cookie-cutter approach.

Why an all inclusive for a destination wedding?

+

All-inclusive resorts make destination weddings smoother, simpler, and more guest-friendly. You get gorgeous venues, built-in catering, accommodations, and activities all in one place.. Plus, your guests know exactly what they’re signing up for, and you’ll have a team on-site to support your big day (and your bartender on standby).

Why should I work with DWD?

+

Because you’ve got better things to do than play travel roulette. As a destination wedding planning expert, I help you skip the guesswork, avoid the common pitfalls, and get access to trusted vendors, perks, and real advice. I’m not here to just “book stuff.” I’m here to make sure your whole experience is seamless, personal, and stress-free.

What’s the difference between you and a traditional travel agent?

+

Most travel agents book trips. I plan experiences.

As a destination wedding planner, I don’t just handle resort bookings and securing the wedding date. I help you design a celebration that’s personal, meaningful, and ridiculously well-organized. From timelines to room blocks to the perfect beachfront venue, I’m in your corner for it all.

Have you been to [insert location here]?

+

I have seen nearly 200 resorts in Mexico & the Caribbean, and, odds are, I’ve seen the right property for you. If I don’t feel 100% confident in a destination or property you’re considering, I’ll be upfront. Your peace of mind matters more than the sale.

How far in advance should I reach out?

+

The sooner, the better—especially for destination weddings! I recommend reaching out at least 12–16 months in advance. That gives us time to find the perfect resort, secure the best rates, and make sure you’re not rushed through the fun stuff (like choosing welcome gifts or picking the perfect wedding day look).
