BEST TIME TO TRAVEL

Asia spans a vast range of climates and cultures, making timing an important part of creating a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.

1

Peak Season (November - March)

This is the best time to visit much of Southeast Asia, with dry weather, lower humidity, and comfortable temperatures. Destinations like Thailand, Bali, and Vietnam shine during these months, offering ideal conditions for beaches, sightseeing, and cultural exploration.

2

Shoulder Season (April - May & September - October)

Shoulder season in Asia offers fewer crowds and excellent value, though temperatures can be warmer in spring and transitional weather may occur in fall. With the right itinerary and pacing, it’s still a beautiful time to explore while enjoying a more relaxed atmosphere.

3

Rainy Season (June - August)

Monsoon season brings higher humidity and afternoon rain showers, but also lush landscapes and fewer tourists. Rain typically comes in short bursts, leaving plenty of time to explore. For flexible travelers, this season can offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.

At DWD, we guide you to the best time to travel to Asia based on your destination, travel style, and priorities—so your experience feels effortless from start to finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll find our most frequently asked questions below, but if you don’t see your questions - contact us!

Who do you serve?

+

I work with ambitious, kind-hearted couples who want more than just a cookie-cutter destination wedding. They want a meaningful, unforgettable experience, and a wedding that is unique, not like the last resort wedding.. I’m here for you if you value thoughtful planning, real communication, and a seamless process from start to finish.

Please note: I exclusively work with U.S.-based clients.

Is the process collaborative?

+

Absolutely, and it should be! This is your wedding, not mine! I bring the experience, guidance, and planning magic, but your vision leads the way. We'll work closely to make sure the end result reflects you, your vibe, your priorities, your story. Think of me as your detail-obsessed, calm-in-the-chaos planning bestie.

Why a planning fee?

+

My planning fee ensures I can provide full wedding planning support in addition to travel — from design boards and budget guidance to managing all the logistics. It allows me to dedicate the time and expertise needed to create a personalized, seamless experience instead of a cookie-cutter approach.

Why an all inclusive for a destination wedding?

+

All-inclusive resorts make destination weddings smoother, simpler, and more guest-friendly. You get gorgeous venues, built-in catering, accommodations, and activities all in one place.. Plus, your guests know exactly what they’re signing up for, and you’ll have a team on-site to support your big day (and your bartender on standby).

Why should I work with DWD?

+

Because you’ve got better things to do than play travel roulette. As a destination wedding planning expert, I help you skip the guesswork, avoid the common pitfalls, and get access to trusted vendors, perks, and real advice. I’m not here to just “book stuff.” I’m here to make sure your whole experience is seamless, personal, and stress-free.

What’s the difference between you and a traditional travel agent?

+

Most travel agents book trips. I plan experiences.

As a destination wedding planner, I don’t just handle resort bookings and securing the wedding date. I help you design a celebration that’s personal, meaningful, and ridiculously well-organized. From timelines to room blocks to the perfect beachfront venue, I’m in your corner for it all.

Have you been to [insert location here]?

+

I have seen nearly 200 resorts in Mexico & the Caribbean, and, odds are, I’ve seen the right property for you. If I don’t feel 100% confident in a destination or property you’re considering, I’ll be upfront. Your peace of mind matters more than the sale.

How far in advance should I reach out?

+

The sooner, the better—especially for destination weddings! I recommend reaching out at least 12–16 months in advance. That gives us time to find the perfect resort, secure the best rates, and make sure you’re not rushed through the fun stuff (like choosing welcome gifts or picking the perfect wedding day look).
