After having trouble with several other destination wedding travel planners listening to their wants, they found me through a mutual friend, and we immediately hit it off! We truly became friends during the process, and these two grew to mean so much to me. I was honestly sad when their celebration was over! So, I’m so excited to share all of the details! Q&A with the Couple

What were the most significant pain points that you were experiencing before finding DWD?
I met with three planners before meeting Dana. All three wanted to deter us from Costa Rica and pushed the numerous Hard Rock Hotels in Mexico. Dana immediately heard what we wanted and found the perfect location in Costa Rica. She was there for us not the hotels!
Think back to when we first met, why did you choose to work with DWD?
You put our needs and wants first before the hotels. You listened to what our vision and brought back options that were perfect for us!
What was your favorite part of the destination wedding planning process (prior to traveling)?
Dana taking all of the questions off of my plate! My questions, guest questions… this gave me the opportunity to enjoy the process.
What was your favorite part your wedding day?
Enjoying the evening with our closest friends and family. The scenery, the vibe and the fun we had!
What was your favorite part of the whole trip, aside from the wedding day?
The lovable monkeys
What was your vision for your wedding celebration? Did we create that for you?
We wanted the natural scenery play a big part of our decor. We didn’t want to add too much to take away. Also we wanted a fun atmosphere and you nailed it!!!
What was your vision for your guests’ experience? Did we create that for you?
You took over a huge part of the planning for our guests. Making the reservations for the hotel and transportation as well as keeping everyone on track on payments and other deadlines.
Why did you choose to work with DWD for your destination wedding?
After a glowing recommendation from a dear friend we met with Dana. We knew right away that we were a perfect match! She actually listened to what our vision was and said ‘yes we can’ instead of deterring me to other locations and hotels. It was clear she was there for us and not for the hotel chain.
What do you think makes DWD Travel different?
Dana. She is the heart and soul of DWD. She becomes a friend that you trust with one of the biggest moments of your life.
What was one part of your wedding planning that you knew you couldn’t (or didn’t want to) do alone? How did DWD help with that?
My parents are deceased and I knew there were questions that I would normally go to them for. Dana was an Angel Wink from above. She never made me feel like my questions were stupid or a nuisance. Her calm demeanor really helped with my anxiety spirals I would go down.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
We would never have had the wedding of our dreams without you. That’s the honest truth. You came in and just made everything happen. Thank you so much and I mean it when I say you were sent from above.
