I’ve shared about the resort and rooms, but I had to share more in depth about the beaches at Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. Let’s just say, I was not disappointed! To date, this is the bluest water and whitest sand I’d seen! So stunning! So, I wanted to share a bit more info and photos about the resorts beaches and “private” island.
The beaches at both the main resort and on the “private” island are stunning! Staying at the resort gives you access to them all! The main area of the resort boasts two beaches separated by a long dock. The dock serves as a boat dock for snorkeling tours, ferry to the island, and other activities, as well as a bar and restaurant. Looking out towards the dock, the beach to the left houses the resorts water activities like floats, hobicats, water trikes and more. There are also beach chairs for relaxing along the beautiful, swimmable beach. To the right of the dock, the beach is a little cozier with more of a cove feel. The beach area is nestled between large rocks that make great spots for snorkeling. This area of the beach has beach chairs, canopy huts, and fire pits surrounded by seating located just up the steps. To the far right there is a smaller dock that is used by the spa for massages over the water, as well as for wedding. You have all the beach you need just right there!
But that isn’t the Sandals way, they always take it to the next level! At Sandals Royal Bahamian, there is a private island located out from the main island. At the offshore island, one side boasts a white-sandy beach, and the other a rocky beach with unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea. No matter which spot you choose, grab a chair, with or without a straw hut, and relax to the sound of the waves! The island boasts its own restaurant, pool, and spa services. I for one would love a massage among the pine trees looking out into the turquoise waters in front of me listening to the sound of the waves—talk about relaxation!
Sandals markets the island as private, and though it is, you must know that one side of it is an excursion for cruise goers stopping in Nassau. From the Sandals side of the island, you’d never know people are “on the other side” except when approaching the island via the ferry.
There is no shortage of beautiful beaches and stunning waters at Sandals Royal Bahamian! I would suffice to say, this was my favorite resort by way of beaches I’ve seen. If you are interested in relaxing on the beach there, I would love to help you make reservations! Just complete the form on my Plan a Trip page, and I will be in touch.
