Where Every Moment Feels Wildly Unforgettable

OUR FAVE EXPERIENCES

Each safari destination offers its own kind of magic—from vast savannas to luxury lodges—bringing you closer to nature in the most awe-inspiring way.

Tanzania

South Africa

Kenya

Botswana

Zanzibar (perfect add-on!)

Tanzania

Tanzania is one of the most iconic safari destinations in Africa, offering some of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences in the world. From the sweeping plains of the Serengeti to the dramatic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Crater, this is where nature unfolds on a grand scale. It’s also home to the Great Migration, one of the most extraordinary wildlife events on earth, where millions of animals move across the land in search of fresh grazing.

A Tanzania safari is about more than spotting wildlife—it’s about experiencing it in a way that feels immersive, meaningful, and deeply connected to the land. Luxury safari lodges, expert guides, and thoughtfully curated itineraries make it possible to explore with ease while still feeling completely present in the moment. Whether you're pairing your safari with Zanzibar or focusing solely on the experience, Tanzania delivers a once-in-a-lifetime journey that is as powerful as it is unforgettable.

South Africa

South Africa offers one of the most diverse and accessible safari experiences, blending wildlife, culture, and luxury travel into one seamless itinerary. From Kruger National Park to the private game reserves, this is where you can experience the Big Five alongside world-class accommodations and exceptional service.

What sets South Africa apart is the variety—it’s not just about safari. You can pair game drives with time in Cape Town, explore the Cape Winelands, or enjoy coastal scenery along the Garden Route. It’s an ideal destination for travelers who want a well-rounded experience that combines adventure, relaxation, and cultural discovery. South Africa offers a safari that feels both elevated and approachable, making it a top choice for first-time and seasoned safari travelers alike.

Kenya

Kenya is a classic safari destination, known for its vast savannas, rich wildlife, and deeply rooted cultural heritage. The Maasai Mara is one of the most famous safari regions in the world, offering incredible opportunities to see lions, elephants, and the Great Migration in action. It’s a destination that feels both expansive and deeply connected to nature.

A safari in Kenya is about experiencing Africa in its most authentic form. From sunrise game drives to evenings under the stars, every moment feels intentional and unforgettable. With opportunities to engage with local communities and explore diverse landscapes, Kenya offers a travel experience that is both meaningful and awe-inspiring.

Botswana

Botswana is known for its exclusive, low-impact safari experiences and pristine, untouched wilderness. With a strong focus on conservation and limited tourism, it offers a more intimate and elevated safari experience compared to other destinations. From the Okavango Delta to Chobe National Park, the landscapes here feel remote, peaceful, and incredibly special.

Traveling to Botswana means experiencing wildlife in a setting that feels raw and unfiltered, yet paired with luxury lodges and exceptional service. It’s ideal for travelers seeking privacy, exclusivity, and a deeper connection to nature. Botswana delivers a safari experience that is refined, immersive, and truly unforgettable.

Zanzibar (Add-On Destination)

Zanzibar is the perfect complement to a safari, offering a relaxing beach escape after days spent exploring the savanna. Located off the coast of Tanzania, it’s known for its white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and rich cultural history. It’s a destination that feels both peaceful and vibrant.

Whether you're unwinding at a beachfront resort, exploring the historic streets of Stone Town, or enjoying the slower pace of island life, Zanzibar provides the perfect balance to your safari adventure. It transforms an incredible trip into a well-rounded journey that blends adventure, relaxation, and cultural discovery.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL

Safari travel is deeply influenced by seasonal patterns, with each time of year offering a different perspective on wildlife and landscapes.

1

Peak Season (June - October)

This is the best time for a safari in Africa, especially in destinations like Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa. Dry conditions make wildlife easier to spot as animals gather around water sources, and vegetation is less dense. It’s ideal for first-time safari travelers seeking incredible game viewing.

2

Shoulder Season (January - March)

The shoulder season offers excellent wildlife viewing with fewer crowds and more competitive pricing. It’s also a beautiful time to witness newborn animals and lush landscapes, creating a softer, more vibrant safari experience.

3

Green Season (November - May)

Also known as the rainy season, this time of year brings dramatic skies, greener landscapes, and fewer tourists. While wildlife can be more spread out, it offers a more intimate and visually stunning experience, often at a better value.

At DWD, we help you plan your safari at the perfect time based on wildlife patterns, your travel goals, and the kind of experience you’re dreaming of.

OUR FAVE SAFARI LODGES & CAMPS

Your safari stay should feel just as unforgettable as the wildlife itself.

A safari is already a once-in-a-lifetime experience—but the right lodge takes it to another level. Think sunrise coffee overlooking the savanna, luxury tents under the stars, and evenings spent gathered around the fire after a day of incredible wildlife sightings.

We love safari properties that combine immersive experiences with elevated comfort, thoughtful guiding, and breathtaking scenery. These are the kinds of stays that make you feel deeply connected to both the destination and the moment.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll find our most frequently asked questions below, but if you don’t see your questions - contact us!

Who do you serve?

+

I work with ambitious, kind-hearted couples who want more than just a cookie-cutter destination wedding. They want a meaningful, unforgettable experience, and a wedding that is unique, not like the last resort wedding.. I’m here for you if you value thoughtful planning, real communication, and a seamless process from start to finish.

Please note: I exclusively work with U.S.-based clients.

Is the process collaborative?

+

Absolutely, and it should be! This is your wedding, not mine! I bring the experience, guidance, and planning magic, but your vision leads the way. We'll work closely to make sure the end result reflects you, your vibe, your priorities, your story. Think of me as your detail-obsessed, calm-in-the-chaos planning bestie.

Why a planning fee?

+

My planning fee ensures I can provide full wedding planning support in addition to travel — from design boards and budget guidance to managing all the logistics. It allows me to dedicate the time and expertise needed to create a personalized, seamless experience instead of a cookie-cutter approach.

Why an all inclusive for a destination wedding?

+

All-inclusive resorts make destination weddings smoother, simpler, and more guest-friendly. You get gorgeous venues, built-in catering, accommodations, and activities all in one place.. Plus, your guests know exactly what they’re signing up for, and you’ll have a team on-site to support your big day (and your bartender on standby).

Why should I work with DWD?

+

Because you’ve got better things to do than play travel roulette. As a destination wedding planning expert, I help you skip the guesswork, avoid the common pitfalls, and get access to trusted vendors, perks, and real advice. I’m not here to just “book stuff.” I’m here to make sure your whole experience is seamless, personal, and stress-free.

What’s the difference between you and a traditional travel agent?

+

Most travel agents book trips. I plan experiences.

As a destination wedding planner, I don’t just handle resort bookings and securing the wedding date. I help you design a celebration that’s personal, meaningful, and ridiculously well-organized. From timelines to room blocks to the perfect beachfront venue, I’m in your corner for it all.

Have you been to [insert location here]?

+

I have seen nearly 200 resorts in Mexico & the Caribbean, and, odds are, I’ve seen the right property for you. If I don’t feel 100% confident in a destination or property you’re considering, I’ll be upfront. Your peace of mind matters more than the sale.

How far in advance should I reach out?

+

The sooner, the better—especially for destination weddings! I recommend reaching out at least 12–16 months in advance. That gives us time to find the perfect resort, secure the best rates, and make sure you’re not rushed through the fun stuff (like choosing welcome gifts or picking the perfect wedding day look).
