Value or Deal—Which is right for your next vacation?

“Do you have any great vacation deals right now?”

I hear that phrase at least weekly, and I almost always cringe. Why? Well, more often than not once I describe what it means to get a great deal, folks are out! So, what could a deal mean? Read on for why you might want to say no to those vacation “deals”.

You found a vacation package for $1k less than your trust travel planner, like DWD. But did you stop to compare the differences? I’m breaking it all down for you on Instagram, but let’s take a look in black and white…

  • The flight you found has you connecting with a 5-hour layover. Your time is no doubt more valuable.
  • You picked a resort on a whim, with no knowledge of the property. Turns out, the food sucks and the rooms are dirty! Who wants to get stuck at a dirty resort eating bad food?
  • Or what about those cheap $20 airport transfers. Sounds like a good deal, right? Think again. You could spend hours making stop after stop dropping other travelers off before getting to your final destination.
  • Worse yet, did you know that some online booking engines have “walk policies”? Meaning you could get to the resort and be walked, as in your reservation is no good! You have no guaranteed reservation, and they’ll put you in a property wherever they see fit. Pretty scary, right?!

Vacation deals might get you a great price, but why sacrifice time, enjoyment, comfort, and, hell, your piece of mind in the name of a few dollars. What you really want is a great value!

Value provides the most bang for your buck and time! And that is exactly what I want for my clients—a vacation that provides them with the best of the best for their must-haves, wishlist, and budget. This is where my expertise comes in. We chat together to determine what you feel is important. Is it the beach? The best room? Great food? Classes & activities on site? I take what you envision for your vacation, and I marry with your budget to find you the best value—no 5-hour layovers, sub-par food, or transportation that makes a million stops. So let’s look at this again…

  • DWD books clients on non-stop flights, when possible, or the best connecting option.
  • As the owner of DWD Travel, I’ve seen the resorts first hand. And if I haven’t, I know a colleague who has, so you get boots-on-the-ground, trusted recommendations.
  • After a long flight, I want to get where I’m going as quickly as possible. I’m betting you do too! This is why DWD books clients in private, non-stop transportation to the resort and back. That extra 100 bucks is worth your time!
  • As for that “walk policy,” DWD books with trusted tour operators and properties who always have our backs!

So, which would you rather have for your vacation—the best deal or the best value? If you now value the value (ha!), let’s work together to plan your next vacation! Ready to get started? Schedule a consultation call today.
