I wrote this Saturday on my way home from Puerto Vallarta. I hope you’ll oblige me in giving it a read.
Good afternoon from somewhere over Mexico,
I’ve started my journey home today from Puerto Vallarta a new person.
This trip began as a means to see another destination and resorts to share with you, but it became so much more.
My first night in destination as I was able to meet Chris and Arturo from Pasitos de Luz, a charity in the Riviera Nayarit/Puerto Vallarta area that works with low-income families, many being single mothers, that have children with disabilities. They offer day care and doctors services (and so much more) completely free of charge so parents can still work to provide for their families.
We talked for hours about their services, their needs, and listened to stories and looked at photos of some of their cases.
I was changed during that conversation.
I have always felt God tapping on my shoulder to find a way to incorporate giving back into my business, beyond the local to me help I’ve been blessed to do. I wanted to make a bigger impact in places I visit and send my clients, but I didn’t know where to start.
With a smile like Lucero’s how could you not want to help these special children. View more stories here.
My time with the folks from Pasitos de Luz empowered me to get started, and little by little I, we, everyone involved with DWD Travel, can make a difference.
In the coming weeks I plan to launch I new initiative with DWD where percentages of sales will be donated to charities within the countries my clients visit.
Please be on the lookout for more information and details on how you too can give back and make a difference!
For now, if you feel led, please consider donating to Pasitos de Luz. Their current intake is 130 kids, but they have a waiting list of even more they would like to serve. They have the space, but don’t have the funds to add more students.
You can donate via the secure link below to their U.S. partners who operate a 501c-3 for tax deductions. 100% of your donation goes directly to Pasitos de Luz. http://cshf-us.org
On my next trip to Puerto Vallarta I pray I can visit their facility and help even more.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
All God’s Blessings to you!
P.S. Please also enjoy a few other snapshots of my time in PVR below.
