Destination Wedding Planning Mistakes To Avoid

I’ve planned my fair share of romantic experiences. From honeymoons, to babymoons (any kind of moon!), to destination weddings and so much more. When I first hop on the phone with potential clients about their destination wedding, I tend to get the same feedback. Here are three destination wedding planning mistakes to avoid by hiring a destination wedding planner early on in your planning process.

Destination Wedding Planning Mistake #1: They try to do it ALL!

I’m all for a little DIY when it comes to planning your wedding and making it extra special, but all within good reason. I’m talking about EVERYTHING. From coordinating their family and friends’ travel details, to managing who’s paid for what, answering questions from guests and the list goes on.

Destination Wedding Planning Mistake #2: They wait to ask for help.

When they’ve come to the decision to reach out for additional support, it may be too late to change the accommodation or negotiate with vendors because those parts have already been done.

Destination Wedding Planning Mistake #3: They don’t take into account ALL the aspects of planning a destination wedding

From supporting guests’ travel inquiries by providing accommodation and transportation recommendations, to collecting payments, and then some.

I get it. Your destination wedding has to be perfect, and there’s no reason why it can’t be! This is why bringing in a little outside help to pick up the slack and let you focus on what matters most can make a world of difference. Just imagine being able to pick and choose elements of your wedding you *want* to do with your partner, while the rest seamlessly comes together.
