Save the Dates & Invitations for Destination Weddings: Do I need both?

The short answer is nope! But if you are like me, you’re just a little extra, and want to send something. For destination weddings, I recommend simply sending Save the Dates OR invitations well in advance with important details listed.

Why one or the other? Typically for a local wedding, invitations are sent 6 or so weeks in advance. When you are having a destination wedding, your guests are already booked and paid in full by then!⁣

What to include? Include the pertinent information—names, date, location, and your wedding website for guests to get all of the details and book their spot to partake in your nuptials on the beach.⁣

When to mail them? As soon as your wedding website is ready, print those puppies and send ’em! You want guests booking ASAP.
