Whaler’s Village | Maui

I know it’s not Christmas time, but I am SUPER excited to share a Christmas tree with you today! No, it’s not my own, even though I just took it down last week. 😯 Did I say that out loud? Yes, just last week. But I digress. The Christmas tree I’m referring to is on the beach in Maui! Like I mentioned yesterday, our Hawaiian Holiday was a midst Christmas, or Kalikimaka in Hawaiian. 🙂 For a “Mele Kalikamaka” time, Whaler’s Village was my favorite spot! I mean what doesn’t scream Hawaiian Christmas like a fully decked out Christmas tree on the beach! #dreamsdocometrue Whaler’s Village is nestled on Kaanapali Beach, and is a great spot for shopping, eating, and sun bathing–all at once if you wanted! We ventured here a few times during our stay, and very much enjoyed the outdoor mall. Of course we have outdoor malls in Texas, but this one seemed close-knit and not too strewn out like the ones we have in Texas. We bought souvenirs here, along with shoes and things we just liked or found good deals on. My favorite find, a canvas bag donning a surfing Santa–also screams Mele Kalikimaka. Our favorite food spot, the Hula Grill, a table in the sand. That’s right, a table right in the sand. Granted it’s not literally on the beach, just 10 or 20 feet away, but I’ll take it.

Are those ocean views not utterly to die for?!
Whaler’s Village also has some great outdoor displays of Hawaiian & whale history, including replicas of whale skeletons and old whaling boats, as well as a museum. So not only is it a great spot for shopping, but you can learn a few history lessons as well.

I adored Whaler’s Village for not only that fabulous Christmas tree, but for all the above! I know it’s a touristy place to visit, but I’m all about the touristy stuff {along with finding the little known} and I’m not ashamed to say it. 🙂 So when you’re out traveling, don’t be ashamed to be a tourist, because after all, that’s just what you are. Happy day friends!
