Victoria, British Columbia, Canada is another one of those places that fell into my travel lap. I hadn’t planned or plotted to visit there, but, when the chance came to visit, I was more than pleased that I did. The heart of this quaint little city is a stunning harbor bustling with boats, seaplanes, and wildlife. The city streets are cobblestone lined with beautiful buildings right out of a story book.
There is much to see and enjoy here, more than just a quick stop can satiate. Take a look at an itinerary to get an idea of all you can see and do in this beautiful Canadian town.

Day One
Check In to Hotel
This quaint city has endless cobblestone streets. Though The Empress would be my first choice hotel, we enjoyed a stay at Chateau Victoria. It was a posh place in a great location.
Talley Ho Carriage Ride
Get acquainted with the city right away with a carriage ride around. You’ll learn about the Parliament Building, Beacon Hill Park, and more.
Day Two
Butchart Gardens
Head outside of the city for a trip to the stunning Butchart Gardens. There must be billions of plants here in all varieties. From stunning florals to lush ferns, there is something to catch everyone’s eye!
Craigdarroch Castle
After a long morning at the gardens, head back into town for a tour of Craigdarroch Castle. I was blown away by the incredible woodwork here, and the stained glass was something right out of Beauty & the Beast!
Day Three
The Empress Hotel
Enjoy a leisurely day strolling around those cobblestone streets. Whether you go inside, or just explore the exterior The Empress Hotel is a beauty! You can also have tea like the Queen if you’re feeling fancy!
Parliament Building
The Parliament Building is another striking beauty in Victoria. The stone work and grounds are stunning, but on weekdays you can take a tour inside. On sunny weekend days, you’ll find locals gathering on the lawn.
Thunderbird Park
Just near The Empress & Parliament Building, you’ll find Thunderbird Park. It holds a unique collection of towering totem poles on display for all to enjoy!
Fisherman’s Wharf
Stroll around Fisherman’s Wharf for delicious fresh seafood, or admire the floating houses surrounded by boats and geese. Time it right, and you can feed the seals who flock here daily for an easy meal.
Day Four
Enjoy a Sunrise at the Harbor Before Heading Home
Take an early morning walk around the harbor, catch a beautiful sunrise, and take in last minute views of The Empress & Parliament Building before moving on.
