Welcome back friends! Hope your Thursday is going well. Another week has nearly come and gone, another month too. Before we know it, it will be summer then winter again. Anyhow, I’m back to close out this week with another quick post. I promise these short accounts are coming to an end. Today is a recap of my quick visit to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, often referred to as the MoMA.

I only had a few minutes, less than an hour, to visit. So much like my first visit to the MoMA in 2013, I just popped in to see a few of my favorite paintings. This visit wasn’t quite as busy as my first, so I was able to sit and really enjoy them. I concentrated on Monet’s Water Lilies, Van Gogh’s Starry Night (we really are lucky to have that painting here in the U.S.!), Jackson Pollock’s One: Number 31, Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d’Avignon (you may recognize this one from the movie Titanic), and works from Andy Warhol. Even though these were the same paintings I fixated on during my first visit to the MoMA, they didn’t disappoint the second go round.
Being able to sit down, and really enjoy the paintings was quite the treat! Perhaps on my next visit, I will spend more time exploring and learning about other works as well. Like I said this was a very quick visit, so I don’t have much to share other than that it’s a beautiful place, even the building design itself, and checking out the incredible art is a must.
I hope you enjoyed my quick visit to the MoMA. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and a Happy Easter!
