Happy Friday friends! I hope you’ve had a great week, and have a fun weekend planned. After 5 o’clock, I’m looking forward to relaxing and taking it easy! In the meantime, I’m back to talk more from our New York City trip. Today, I’m going to share our visit to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.

Lovely & I struck out one morning from Times Square, and walked our way to Pier 86, about a mile away. We enjoyed seeing new places along the way, and walking along the river after our visit. But we really appreciated this very cool museum which is actually on the river itself! Housed in the decommissioned USS Intrepid, this museum showcases sea, air, and space travel. We enjoyed the sea & air aspects most, and learning more about the USS Intrepid. This was our second ship to visit together, but the first, the USS Missouri, was a battleship. The USS Intrepid is a huge aircraft carrier making it large enough to feature a full fledged air & space museum as well.
We were able to read about the ship’s journeys, see numerous military planes, and touch a bit on U.S. space travel. It was definitely not your typical New York sightseeing spot, but it was a really fun addition to our trip, especially for a guy. If you’re going to travel to NYC with your man, son, or any guy, you might consider adding this to your itinerary if you have the time.
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Hope you enjoy them!
Have a great weekend, and see you back next week.
