Earlier this summer the babies had their first big adventure and first trip to the beach. We ventured down from Waco to Galveston Island, Texas. We did not have an enjoyable drive down, but a stop at Buc-ee’s (a gas station chain on some major steroids) did help! Aside from the drive and my high stress level of tending two babies at the beach with out daddy, we had a wonderful time!

The babies put their little toes in the sand & feet in the ocean for the very first time.
I had the best time getting the bebes dressed up in their swimsuits and hats, and starting their adventures early! I so enjoyed spending quality time with family!
Most of all, I loved teaching my nephews all about the ocean tides and seashells and all of the beachy things. This was their first time to the beach, and it was such joy for me to see the wonder in their eyes over tiny creatures and excitement over mastering “big” waves!
My cousin and I left our babies with the grannies for a bit, and took my nephews souvenir shopping, for a walk along the Sea Wall, and to Pleasure Pier. It is a really cool spot right on the Galveston Sea Wall that has rides, concessions, and games. It’s like our very own Coney Island right in Texas.

We stayed at the sweetest little condo down from the Sea Wall so we had direct access to the beach. It was a great location away from the hustle and bustle of the Sea Wall, but still not too far. We all had such a great time, and can’t wait to return next summer. And I can’t wait to take these littles on many more adventures!
