Discovereighng with Dana Travelers: Mother-Daughter Disney Cruise

Welcome to a brand-new blog series, Discovereighng with Dana Travelers! Periodically, with their permission, I’ll be sharing my clients’ vacations and thoughts. In reading these first hand trip experiences, you can see what is possible for you!

Jennifer & Olivia recently went on a mother-daughter trip together aboard Disney Wonder! Read on to hear all about their experience.

Tell me about any memorable experiences you had. Did you go an exciting tour or excursion? Did you try new foods? Learn something about the people and culture?
I have never been on a cruise before, and I feel that I might have now set the bar too high with a Disney Cruise! The neatest thing was when we walked onto the ship our cruise director said our names over the speaker to welcome us onto the ship! My 6-year-old loved that! The food was amazing, and I never turned away ordering two dishes at dinner! Characters walked around the ship all day giving parents plenty of opportunity to capture photos of their child with famous Disney characters (so don’t worry if you can’t book certain meet in greets). My daughter’s favorite activity was the kids club! I felt very safe leaving my daughter here to play. When her arm band was scanned her name and photo, along with mine, popped up on their screen. The employees remembered her name, and even the things she spoke about while in the kid’s area. During this time, I was able to visit the adults only pool area with private bar and coffee shop. This area was EMPTY! So relaxing when being on a cruise.
When we docked in Cozumel my daughter and I decided on the Chankanaab Adventure Park. We swam with dolphins, visited the beach, and enjoyed the all-inclusive options they offered. We did book through the ship and I suggest doing so.
Mexico is a beautiful place with such a fun culture! I was a single mother with my 6-year-old daughter, and never once felt unsafe.
Our cruise was amazing! The shows were once in a lifetime, the food was great, and with a $5 drink of the day my wallet was happy!

What was the best part of your vacation?
The shows the cruise offered were amazing. The $5 drink of the day was great. Take advantage of trying multiple meals at lunch or dinner. You can try things you might not think you’ll like and find out you love them!

What are your thoughts on working with Discovereighng with Dana? Will you work with us again? Will you recommend us to your friends & family?
Dana was a pleasure to work with. She is so patient, and always responded quickly to any questions I asked. She also made changes when asked. The best part was the surprise we received from her in our stateroom! She had it decorated for my daughter and I!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with your cruise & Discovereighng with Dana Travel!
Jennifer & Olivia are hoping to visit an all-inclusive vacation next, and I’m excited to create another vacation for them.
